if i put a freeze on my account with the credit bureau, will employers and or any debt collectors verify where i am or whatever ?

    If someone wants to find you they will hire a “skip tracer”. These are people who make their living at locating people. Skip Tracers have much more accurate ways of finding people than looking at a credit report. So if you are trying to hide, keeping people out of your credit report is not going to work…Sorry

    But in answer to this question. A credit freeze would only stop new accounts from being opened up in your name. If you have a pre-existing relationship with a company they are allowed to pull your credit report for a permissible purpose with no additional authorization. One of these purposes would be to attempt to find out where you are.
